A HEART PROBLEM IS SOMETHING you hope to never have. But it’s good to know that lifesaving care, including around-the-clock treatment for heart attacks, is available at Val Verde Regional Medical Center (VVRMC), should you ever need it. That specialized care takes place in the cardiac catheterization lab (cath lab), a room in the hospital where doctors diagnose and treat heart disease using minimally invasive procedures instead of surgery. Very often these procedures involve tiny tubes called catheters, which may have a balloon at their tip. Catheters are inserted through small cuts in the groin or wrist and are guided, by imaging tests, to the heart. U N PROBLEMA CARDÍACO ES ALGO que uno espera no tener nunca.
