8 Keeping Well/Mantenerse Sano Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Institute for Therapeutic Medicine offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and wound care to patients from infants to seniors. The institute strives to bring the latest technology to its full range of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. The therapists provide professional, compassionate solutions to help you become active and stay that way. ADULT AND PEDIATRIC SERVICES OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY— Promotes health by enabling people to perform everyday tasks and have meaningful, purposeful, active lives. PHYSICAL THERAPY— Assesses and provides treatment to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and function throughout life. SPEECH THERAPY— Provides healthy lifestyle practices for improving communication, hearing, swallowing or other speech-related disorders. WOUND CARE— Provides care and education for patients with chronic nonhealing wounds. SPECIALIZED PEDIATRIC ENVIRONMENT— Provides all rehabilitative services to children in a setting suited specifically for their needs. For children on the autism spectrum, there is a specialized treatment room with low lighting and less sensory stimulation. El instituto se esfuerza por hacer llegar los últimos avances tecnológicos a toda su gama de servicios de rehabilitación para pacientes internados y ambulatorios. Los terapeutas ofrecen soluciones profesionales y empáticas para ayudarle a recuperar su vida activa y conservarla. SERVICIOS PARA ADULTOS Y NIÑOS TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL: Promueve la salud al permitir que las personas realicen las tareas cotidianas y tengan una vida activa, significativa y con un propósito. FISIOTERAPIA: Evalúa y proporciona tratamiento para desarrollar, mantener y restablecer el movimiento y la función máximos durante toda la vida. TERAPIA DEL HABLA: Ofrece hábitos de estilo de vida saludable para mejorar la comunicación, la audición, la deglución u otros trastornos relacionados con el habla. CUIDADO DE HERIDAS: Proporciona asistencia y educación a pacientes con heridas crónicas que no cicatrizan. ENTORNO PEDIÁTRICO ESPECIALIZADO: Provee todos los servicios de rehabilitación para niños en un entorno adecuado específicamente para sus necesidades. Para los niños con trastorno del espectro autista, hay una sala de tratamiento especializada con baja iluminación y menos estimulación sensorial.
